Autonomous air conditioner calculation

Air conditioner calculation

Program with which anyone can calculate the power of an independent air conditioner to be inserted in an environment (even with a heat pump). Thermal power can be calculated in kWt, BTU, kcal/h, kJ and ton. Automatically indicates the hourly electricity consumption in kW.

We are pleased to present you the “Autonomous Air Conditioner Calculation” program, an innovative tool designed to simplify the choice of air conditioners in various contexts. Air conditioning has become an essential element for ensuring comfort, efficiency and air quality in many environments, from homes to commercial spaces, offices and beyond.

Made by Itieffe

This program was developed to address the common challenges we face when it comes to selecting and using stand-alone air conditioners. This tool promises to simplify the process for choosing the necessary capacity based on the type of environment, based on exposure, type of construction and other parameters that can be easily entered.

Here are some of the main features of this program:

  1. Potential calculation: the program allows you to calculate the capacity of the air conditioner based on the specific needs of the room. This ensures that the unit is able to cool or heat the area efficiently.
  2. Calculation of hourly electricity consumption: The program, based on the heat capacity used, calculates the real hourly electricity consumption of the appliance, helping you to make choices to reduce operating costs.
  3. Customization: The settings for the air conditioner calculation can be customized according to individual preferences, ensuring optimal comfort for users.
  4. Clear instructions on how to use the program.
  5. Hints on how to use the air conditioner correctly and how to use the remote control.

This program was designed to be a comprehensive tool that can assist homeowners, building managers, HVAC professionals, and anyone involved in the selection and management of self-contained air conditioners. We hope it will help you make informed decisions and improve the efficiency and comfort of your environments. With the right choice of air conditioning unit, you can create more comfortable and energy efficient environments.

Autonomous air conditioner calculation

Easy software with which anyone can calculate the power of an autonomous air conditioner heat pump to be placed in an environment.

The thermal power can be calculated in kWt, BTU, kcal / h, kJ and ton.

Automatically indicates the hourly electrical consumption in kW.

Are present:

  • instructions for use of the program
  • advice on using the air conditioner
  • use of the remote control
  • Example video

Instructions

Air conditioner calculation autonomous

You have to follow the program step by step.

  1. All calculations in: choose the unit of measurement you want to perform the calculations (kW, BTU, kcal / h, kJ and ton)
  2. Indicate the use of the premises by choosing from those offered from the drop-down menu
  3. Name: enter room name (living room, bed, office, meeting room, etc.)
  4. Width: enter the size in meters.
  5. Length: enter size in meters
  6. Height: enter size in meters.
  7. Exposure: indicate by choosing from the various options (north, east, etc.)
  8. Type of construction: choose from the items in the drop-down menu.
  9. Type of ceiling: indicate by choosing between the imposed parameters.
  10. Persons no .: indicate how many people will stay permanently.
  11. Heat input in: enter the heat produced in the environment by electrical components (appliances, lighting, etc.). If the calculations are carried out in kW, enter the values in W.
  12. Air: insert if spare parts now now or m³/h per person
  13. In the summary data, read the result of the thermal power required in the chosen unit of measurement (in the case indicated: 6,4 kW).
  14. By entering the EER of the machine (see manufacturer plate), it is possible to know the hourly consumption of the same (in the case indicated: EER = 3 with an hourly consumption of 2.5 kW). Obviously the higher the EER, the more the machine will offer a higher yield (it is recommended to use the comma and not the point).
  15. Indicates the average power used per m².
  16. Easy-to-read tables are provided.

Tips for using the air conditioner

note: the air conditioner is considered a pure heat extractor while the air conditioner is equipped with other functions such as: dehumidification, heating, time setting, variation of fan speed, etc. but it is common practice to call them both air conditioners.

Which air conditioner to choose when buying

In homes it is considered as any other household appliance while in offices and public environments it is now an obligation.

The choice must fall on class A ++ "Inverter" appliances that offer the maximum in energy savings, not only by reducing electricity consumption considerably.

How To Make The Best Use Of The Conditioner

In summer, the temperature that can be set in an environment must not have a differential greater than 7 ° C with respect to the outside (if the external temperature is 40 ° C the internal temperature must not be lower than 33 ° C). Exceeding it could cause a thermal shock to people with even serious damage to health.

The recommended room temperature is 26,5 ± 1 ° C (in winter 20 ± 1 ° C).

note: in deserts, the temperature is high but the human body hardly sweats. This is due to the very low percentage of humidity present in the air. An environment with 33 ° C, with low relative humidity, will offer acceptable comfort.

Have the system installed only by specialized personnel with an F-Gas license.

ATTENTION: failure to comply with this indication is the cause of administrative sanctions (sometimes criminal) with very substantial amounts (see Violations and Sanctions F-GAS).

Here are some practical tips to obtain maximum comfort (and also savings) from your system.

  • In summer, set the temperature to 27 ° C. In winter set the temperature to 21 ° C.
  • Use the minimum fan speed (annoying currents are avoided).
  • With acceptable outside temperatures, use the "dehumidifier" function.
  • Clean and sanitize the regenerable filters at least once a year (twice in dusty environments).
  • Have the appliance completely cleaned and checked every 4 years (indoor and outdoor unit, condensate drains and power supply) by a qualified technician with a license.
  • Try to shade the environment as much as possible, using curtains, blinds, shutters etc. you will get significant energy savings.
  • Compartmentalize the environments you are conditioning to avoid energy loss.
  • If the air conditioner is equipped with it, use the "night" function during the night.

Using the remote control

Autonomous air conditioner calculation

Let's take a look at the remote control

Main symbols on the remote control

Each model of air conditioner has different functions. Some of them are always present. Through the "Mode" key you can access all the main functions described below

Cooling (cool)

It is represented by the ice icon and is used to set the summer functionality

Dehumidification (dry)

It is represented by the drop icon and is used to remove the humidity present in the air (by causing it to condense on the coil and through the condensate drain conveys it to the drain in the sewer)

Ventilation (fan)

It is represented by the fan icon and is used to vary the fan speed. Normally it is set in 4 ways: auto - higt - med - low which correspond respectively to the speeds: automatic, high, medium and low

Heating (heat)

It is represented by the sun icon and is used to set winter functionality (heat pump)
